Ingredients

  • Greek yogurt, plain non-fat - 2 cups (3-4 tablespoons per pack)
  • Natural almond butter - 1/3 cup (divided evenly)
  • Old-fashioned rolled oats - 1 cup (divided evenly)
  • Frozen strawberries - 1.5 cups (divided evenly)
  • Frozen blueberries - 1 cup (divided evenly)
  • Frozen banana slices - 2 medium bananas (divided evenly)
  • Honey or maple syrup - 2-3 tablespoons total (optional)
  • Vanilla extract - 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Milk, juice, or water - 3/4 to 1 cup per smoothie (added when blending)

Instructions

  • Step 1: Grab five freezer bags or containers and pre-slice your bananas. Have all ingredients within arm's reach.
  • Step 2: Scoop 3-4 tablespoons of Greek yogurt and 1 tablespoon of almond butter into each bag or container.
  • Step 3: Divide rolled oats evenly, about 3-4 tablespoons per smoothie pack.
  • Step 4: Layer frozen berries and banana slices into each pack, about 1/3 cup strawberries, 1/5 cup blueberries, and a few banana slices per pack.
  • Step 5: Press out air from bags, seal, label with date and ingredients, and stack flat in freezer.
  • Step 6: When ready, dump one frozen pack into blender, add 3/4 to 1 cup of milk, blend for 30-45 seconds on high until smooth.

Notes

Store sealed packs flat in freezer for up to 2 months. Label with date and ingredients for easy tracking. For extra protein, add 1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder when blending (not in the pack). Greek yogurt is essential for creaminess and protein content. Make 10 packs for family meals. Freezing preserves all nutritional content. Use dairy milk for extra protein or plant-based alternatives for lighter smoothies. Per smoothie: 30-32g protein, 38-42g carbs, 10-12g fat, 4-5g fiber.
