Equipment

  • large skillet
  • wooden skewers
  • medium mixing bowl
  • paper towels

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Sliced green onions (optional garnish)
  • Sesame seeds, black and white (optional garnish)
  • Crushed peanuts (optional garnish)
  • Fresh cilantro (optional garnish)

Instructions

  • Step 1: Cut each chicken breast in half lengthwise, then cut into bite-sized chunks (1.5-2 inches). Pat dry with paper towels.
  • Step 2: Season chicken with salt and pepper. Soak wooden skewers in water for 15 minutes. Thread chicken onto skewers, leaving space between pieces.
  • Step 3: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 2 minutes until smoking slightly.
  • Step 4: Sear skewers undisturbed for 3 minutes per side in batches, building flavor and golden exterior.
  • Step 5: In a medium bowl, whisk together Greek yogurt, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and sesame oil. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  • Step 6: Coat cooked skewers generously with bang bang sauce or serve sauce on the side.
  • Step 7: Garnish with green onions, sesame seeds, and crushed peanuts. Serve immediately or store for meal prep.

Notes

Store cooked chicken and sauce separately for crispier results that last all week. Sauce keeps in the fridge for up to 5 days. Swap Greek yogurt for mayo if preferred.
